Bodies and Earth in Resistance

Bodies and Earth in Resistance is a body of work that, from an ecofeminist perspective, explores the intersection between fragility and resilience within the connection between humanity and nature.

I investigate how the tensions, deformations, and instabilities generated by systems of power —capitalist and patriarchal— impact the most vulnerable bodies: those of women and the exploited Earth.

Just as nature is extracted, fragmented, and transformed to sustain the economy, female bodies are shaped by external pressures and social expectations.

Through materials such as X-rays —archives of memory that reveal fractures and deformations— and stone —a symbol of endurance and connection to the land—, the works question how far our relationship with the environment has been eroded and pushed to the edge of collapse.

My installation practice intertwines these invisible burdens with the possibility of transformation, revealing how, even under oppression, resilience emerges in unexpected forms. As a whole, the work exposes what is hidden and fragmented, making visible what sustains, resists, and endures amid ecological and gender crises.
